This duet found me a very rough place and sometimes life just works out like that where everything aligns and gives you something you didn’t know you needed.
This duet is such an amazing story and surprisingly healing for me. So let's get into it.
It’s a girl that gets offered a chance to save her dying kingdom and family from rot. I mean who else is gonna save the world… a man… please…
I love a FMC that stays true to herself. Like how refreshing it is when you don’t have a FMC who doesn’t bend or try to shape herself differently just because of a man, or other characters in the story. She is who she is, take it or leave it. The attitude of the FMC didn’t change and I loved that. Her sass never faltered, her strong will never dampened and her stances on things never wavered. No matter what the FMC went through she faced it all being true to herself.
The struggles that the MMC faces are devastating, and heartbreaking. Seeing his fight throughout this duet breathed some kind of life into me. It was healing and something that you can feel.
This was my first time reading Liv Zander and I have no regrets. I highly recommend this duet.
