Reflection: Chaos and Clarity

So I have written and deleted this article so many times. And that’s mainly because I want to watch how I word things. How I take my first step into this article.
So you know what? Let’s just go.

Hell, I turn 37 on July 6th. Time is moving so fast. The world is crazy right now. And the only thing I have been finding solace in is reading, tattoos, my friends, and concerts.
I looked back on the year, and between celebrating 3 years on Bookstagram, 2 years with Dark and Disturbed, and almost a full year writing for Library of Angels, I can say I have never been so grateful, or fortunate, or so fulfilled.
We all use different things to escape reality and I am a firm believer in always protecting your peace and chasing joy.
We have had a shit show of a year already, or at least I know I have. Between burnout, personal issues, and other things, I know I have had to decompress and step away. Never for long, but enough that I can evaluate if I am still happy with what and where I am.
With the world in the state it’s in, I think it’s important we reflect on the things that make us happy. I think it’s important we take stock of what we have. I also think it’s important that we all stay true to our beliefs and our own voice. I believe we all should stand firm in what we stand for.

If you gather anything from this mishmash of an article, gather that you need to keep prioritizing you and your mental health. That you keep what brings you joy near by. That you stay safe. That you stand firm. And that you never take a day for granted, especially with the state of the world.
